Rain could hit New York City on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this week, according to the National Weather Service.

NEW YORK, NY — New York City is due for a wet week ahead with National Weather Service forecasts predicting it could rain on six out of the next seven days.

Up to an inch of rain may be dumped on the city to begin the week Monday, according to the National Weather Service. Morning showers could lead to an afternoon and evening thunderstorm, the forecast predicts. Temperatures will hover around the high 60s and in the 70s, which should be consistent with the rest of the week.

The next strong bet for rain will be Thursday. The National Weather Service predicts a 70 percent chance of precipitation with showers and possible thunderstorms likely to hit the city in the afternoon.

Tuesday could see early morning thunderstorms with a 60 percent chance of precipitation and Wednesday night could see late-night showers with a 50 percent chance of rain, according to the National Weather service.
